I used this book with many other resources to prep for the FAA written. This book beat the other resources HANDS DOWN. This books questions most mimicked the actual FAA test questions. This book also comes with a pass code for Asa's online prepware website. The passcode let's you take 5 free practice tests online. If you score an 80% or higher on at least 2 of 5 of the prepware.com tests, simply email your scores to ASA's CFI and you will receive your actual endorsement letter from ASA via email. The endorsement is your ticket to take the real FAA written. I used the Letter from ASA and scored a 95% on my FAA written! And the best part, I have just started my flying lessons and my written is done! I saved a ton of $$$$ this way. Ground school/study with a CFI is going around $45/hr. this is the way to go if you learn well by reading and like to save money.

If you are into books then this would be perfect, but I found out afterwards that they also make the app version of this test prep. Same questions but much more easier to "flash card" the questions. Also the app has the ability to just display the test questions that are only relevant to the test you are taking (i.e. rotorcraft, fixed wing or gliders)
I wouldn't really recommend this, its clunky to use. The Ipad version will display the relevant diagrams along with the question instead of you flipping back and forth. However the book does have one thing going for it, it describes the wrong questions and why they are wrong. Where the app only tells you which answer is right and why, it does not explain why the other answers are wrong.
